Sea Work 2018

The exhibition will be opened by Nusrat Ghani, appointed Parliamentary Under
Secretary of State at the Department for Transport. Nusrat is the minister responsible
for Maritime, Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA), Maritime Security, Skills and
Apprenticeships Accessibility and the Year of Engineering.

This year’s exhibition will welcome many new developments including the new
Speed@Seawork Sea Trials & Conference, a July 4th Celebration and our debut
‘Women in the Marine Industry’ networking event. New trails this year will include
Superyacht Build, Repair and Refit, a Composites Pavilion, as well as an enhanced
focus on Maritime Training & Skills.

The onsite Seawork Marina will be home to over 70 vessels and craft during the
show, suited to a host of operations with sizes ranging from 10m to 80m. All vessels
will be available for visitors to view and experience, with a further 500+ exhibitors

on stands showcasing their latest products and services.

Unmanned Surface Vessels and Hybrid Propulsion will be the topics of a new
commercial marine conference taking place at Seawork on Wednesday 4 July.
The morning session will focus on USVs and will invite speakers from a range of
industries, including Dr Katrina Kemp – Smart Ships & Automation Policy Officer at
the Maritime and Coastguard Agency, who will be discussing the government’s
emerging vision for autonomous, smart shipping. The afternoon session will centre
around the future of hybrid propulsion and will invite speakers including Anne
Duncan – CEO at Ecospeed, who will discuss how hybrid and windfarm operations
could offer a clean solution for the shipping industry.
