We’ve moved!

We are delighted to share that this summer we completed a major site move – which has set us up well for growth.

The purchase of our new premises has enabled us to triple our operational space and supports our commitment to nurture the next generation of engineering talent and invest in people to compete on the world stage.

For anyone that visited our old site on Snowdon Road, our new place isn’t far from there. It is located on the locally well-known Skippers Lane Industrial Estate, which is on the edge of the new Teesworks site.

Over the last 18 months we have been preparing for this expansion by strengthening our workforce and nurturing new talent through a series of key appointments and internal promotions. Check out our news pages for more information.

The site, which boasts 22,000 sq ft of space, will enable us to secure larger and more complex projects while maintaining our essential service work, including hydraulic system outages and the expansion of our hire fleet operations.

Projects will also benefit from our overhead crane and lifting capabilities which means we can take on larger prefabrication projects in-house – reducing costs for clients and further streamlining operations.

James Griffiths, Managing Director at IMH, said: “Our new premises are a game changer for us. The additional space, modernised workshops, and enhanced capabilities will allow us to progress our sustainability ambitions, take on bigger projects and improve project turnaround times.

“Nurturing engineering talent is crucial for the long-term sustainability of our business and the wider industry. We are proud to have welcomed a number of new employees to the team and make internal promotions. As we grow our operations, investing in the next generation of engineers will remain at the heart of our strategy.”

Whilst we already feel at home and have successfully welcomed some customers on site for factory acceptance testing, we’re still making tweaks to the extensive workshop areas and modern office space. But once complete, we look forward to welcoming more customers and contacts to explore our new facility.
