LNG Showcase

07 Jun 2018, DoubleTree by Hilton Edinburgh – Queensferry Crossing

Ken Stephens will be attending EIC’s first LNG Showcase which will explore the opportunity to engage in discussions about the outlook of the LNG market, its future regarding the growth of LNG demand as well as the opportunities for the UK Supply Chain.

Traditionally, liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities have been built onshore. However, due to the flexibility, speed of construction of floating LNG and reluctance to commit to long-term facilities, have resulted in an increase in the use of offshore LNG units as an alternative.

Currently, estimated CAPEX of floating LNG stands at $74 billion, where 65% of the projects are in the feasibility/pre-feed/feed stage. Floating LNG as an industry has huge potential to increase its total share in the global market.

The future of the LNG market is promising, with over US$40bn predicted to be spent over the next five years and LNG trade to grow seven times faster than pipeline gas trade.

British suppliers have the skills and expertise to win work on these developments, particularly on topside.

With lucrative projects coming on the horizon there will be significant opportunities within the industry.

LNG Showcase will also provide you with the prime opportunity to develop new contacts and relationships from across the LNG business.
