IMH opens its doors to the engineers of the future…

As a company IMH has always been committed to the developing young people and providing career paths in engineering. We do this in a number of ways, from our apprentice scheme through to offering work experience as well as inviting student groups to come and have a look around our facility.

Following a request, we welcomed students in years 10 and 11 from Unity City Academy in Middlesbrough, who had expressed an interest in engineering, to visit our facility and ask questions on all things engineering.

Ian Duffew, Commercial Director commented: “It was great to see such an engaged and genuinely interested group of students who had plenty of questions for us after visiting our Middlesbrough headquarters.

“We recognise the connection between exposing people to an engineering environment and building potential interest in an engineering career, which is why we welcome and encourage young people to come through our doors.”

We will continue to support work placements and visits and provide exposure to the exciting opportunities engineering offers.
