STAFF NEWS: IMH TECHNICIAN COMPLETES HIS DEGREE

We are very proud to announce that IMH Technician, Simon Daws, has successfully completed his degree in Design Engineering at Teesside University.

Simon has worked very hard over the last four years, attending university part-time, to achieve his BEng.

Simon joined IMH as an apprentice and has continued to progress very well technically, supporting the company on jobs in South Korea, USA and Norway.

“We are very proud to have supported Simon through his degree, he is the first IMH graduate so far and we currently have two more trainees also working towards their BEng. Training and education are a priority at IMH, as highly skilled technical people are the core of our business and what IMH’s reputation is founded on. I would like to congratulate Simon on his highly commendable achievement and look forward to his continuing development with us.”
– Paul Griffiths, Managing Director

“I have worked on some very diverse projects already, gaining valuable experience and I am looking forward to expanding this further. I have recently completed a power station refurbishment project, where I was part of a five man team. We took the project from design through installation to commissioning and hand over. I have technically supervised a three man team on a challenging flushing project whilst at sea. I have also taken the lead on a refurbishment package of a specialised valve actuator for a nuclear power station in the USA. I am continuing to broaden my skills and every job presents important opportunities for me.”
